Do you have to oil The Brother CS6000i?
The Brother CS6000i Came pre-oiled from the Factory. It doesn't require any additional oiling. If you cant turn the flywheel or you hear cracking noise from the machine, it's advised that you immediately stop sewing and contact a certified service center
How to clean the Brother CS6000i
Remove dust from on all open surfaces. Also Clean and remove any fabric dust or fabric remains from the bobbin housing. You can read how to do it here. Do not use canned air when you clean the Brother CS6000i

The most common problems experienced on the Brother CS6000i
The Sewing Machine doesn't start and/or sew.
Solution: Make sure that the power cord is plugged in and the button is set to on. Ensure that the Foot pedal is correctly installed and face the right direction. Also, make sure that the Bobbin winder is placed in the correct position.
The Needle breaks
Solution: Make sure that the needle is pushed into the needle housing and installed correctly. Also, make sure that the needle clamp is firmly locked. The needle could also be bent or blunt or is unsuitable for the fabric/Thread you are using. Also, ensure that the needle doesn't hit the pressure foot by turning the flywheel. If the needle breaks the tension might be incorrect. You can read more about thread tension here. To much pulling on the fabric might also result in broken needles.
If this doesn't resolve the issues you should inspect the pressure place and the bobbin case for scratches. Also, make sure that you are using the correct bobbin.
The upper thread breaks
Solution: Make sure that the needle is installed correctly, the needle plate is scratch-free and that you are using the correct bobbin.
The lower thread tangles or breaks:
Solution: Make sure that you are using the correct bobbin and that it's wounded correctly. Look for damages on the bobbin and the bobbins housing.
The Thread tension is Incorrect
Solution: Retread the machine and make sure that the bobbin can be wrong or wounded incorrectly, Also make sure that the Pressure foot is correctly installed. You can read more about the thread tension here.
The fabric doesn't feed
Solution: Make sure that the feed dogs aren't lowered and that you aren't using a to fine fabric.

Brother CS6000I Error codes:
Error Code E1
How to fix Error code E1: You have started to sew without lowering the pressure foot or a sensor is broken. Try lift and lowering the pressure foot if the error code is invalid. If this doesn't resolve the issue the Sewing machine has to be repaired by a certified service center.
Error Code E2
How to fix Error code E2: A buttonhole stitch was not selected when you have the buttonhole lever lowered.
Error Code E3
How to fix Error code E3: A buttonhole or back tack stitch is selected and you started sewing with the buttonhole lever is raised.
Error Code E4
How to fix Error code E4: Make sure that the bobbin winder is in its correct position. If you winding your bobbin, make sure you are not sewing in reverse.
Error code E5
How to fix Error code E5: The start/stop button was pressed and the sewing foot is connected.
Error code E6
How to fix Error code E5: The motor locks because the thread is tangled. Retread the machine and try again. Make sure you don't leave any thread left in the machine.
If Error code E1 and/or E8 appear in the LCD screen while you are sewing, the sewing machine is malfunctioning and needs to be serviced.
